Here are some answers to visitors frequently asked questions...
When is the zone open?
We are open all year.
Who can book into the zone?
We accept bookings from any partner school or community group. We cater for all age ranges and run a series of events through the year involving young and old.
Can we come to the zone for a pre-visit?
Yes you can, please contact us to arrange a suitable time.
What time shall we get there/leave?
Groups usually arrive around 10am and leave at 2.30pm. Visit times can be adapted to suit your needs.
Where do we park?
When your coach arrives at Roberts Street they should use the top car park entrance where we will meet you. Your class will then be walked around the site to the zone classroom where they can safely leave their coats and lunch boxes. If anyone arrives in a car they can use the school car park and come to the zone via school reception.
What happens if it rains?
It never rains at the environment zone, but if it ever should we make sure that there is enough indoor space for your class just in case of bad weather. There are also plenty of indoor activities to keep everyone busy.
What disabled facilties are on-site?
The whole zone is wheelchair friendly with full access around the nature trail. Indoors we have a lift for access through the school and there is a disabled toilet facility.
What are the catering arrangements?
Groups are responsible for bringing their own refreshments which can be eaten indoors or out.
Do we need to bring any equipment/resources?
The zone is fully equipped to resource your group's activities at the zone. You may need to bring your own equipment for a specific activity, e.g. sketch books, clipboards.
