We are very proud of our scarecrow! We are hoping the CD's will frighten away unwanted birds.

The tomatoes are coming on well. We contnue to move turf to our giant compost heap.

The allotment is really developing well know. The lettuce and spinach are ready for picking. We were thrilled and amazed at the size of our radishes!!

During the early stages the children worked hard preparing the soil.

A group of 11 children attend the club on Thursdays which is run by myself and an extremely green fingered grandad. We have created a raised plot using railway sleepers and tyres. We have planted radishes carrots, potatoes ,pumpkins, spring onions, strawberries and shallots, onions, broad and runner beans, spinach, beetroots, lettuce, and tomatoes. The children have moved turf to create a compost heap and have also made a scarecrow. A visit is planned to a local allotment.
