10 Nursery Group Visit Feb ’13Hello Guy,
Yesterday’s visit was probably the least enjoyable- it was just too cold! Personally I think there is something magical about the Environment Zone in the snow- what about all the animal footprints- but I must admit it did restrict us a little bit in what we were able to do.
Our children in Blakenall have precious little green space to access and for many their outdoor experiences are very limited. The Environment Zone is ideal for us because it provides a wealth of fantastic learning opportunities in a really exciting environment that is not too far away- although when you are there you feel as if you are miles from anywhere. I love visiting because every session is unique- shaped by the weather, the seasons, and the children’s interests and enthusiasms. Learning always feels exciting, sometimes a bit risky, but always actually very safe. The site is well maintained yet suitably overgrown, has lots of interesting features- the trees, the pond, the wildlife... I could go on.
I will really miss not having the Environment Zone on the doorstep but I am hopeful that I will continue to be a regular visitor. Thanks for all your help Guy, all the children and practitoners here have loved our visits and can’t wait to come again when it’s warmer. I’ll be in touch,
