Apple Pressing

A huge thank-you to staff who came out and worked with the whole school apple pressing.
This took place as part of our food focus week.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the activity and learnt lots about the history of apple pressing. All the children enjoyed the apple juice and several are now buying it and drinking it at home.
A wonderful activity which I would recommend to other schools.

Apple Pressing At Greenfield 17/10/05

Dear Guy

Thank you so much for a great day last Monday.

The children really enjoyed the sessions and were fascinated by the process of
turning a bucketful of apples into a jug of apple juice. They were also
surprised that parts of the process weren’t as easy as they looked!
Despite its appearance, even Jordan (who doesn’t like trying anything new)
agreed the final result tasted much better than any you can buy.

Thank you
